Go Away Big Green Monster

 
 
We had fun learning about describing words through the story Go Away, Big Green Monster!   We read the story without showing the children the pictures.  The children had to draw what the author was describing.  We talked about how the illustrator and the author have to work together. 
 
 


Students shared how their monsters were alike and different.  
 


 
 
Children made their own shape monsters and wrote sentences describing their monster. 
 
 
We have been learning about our color words. 





 We sorted m&ms by color and graphed our results.
