Raccoons and Ripe Corn

Fall is here!  This week we had fun learning about corn and the beginning, middle and end of a story.  We stretched words out and wrote down the sounds we heard by labeling an ear of corn.    

Next, we shucked our own corn and cooked it for snack. 

 

Some of us loved it...

and some of us did not...

 

 

We read the story, Raccoons and Ripe Corn.  We drew the beginning, middle and end of the story. 



We tasted popcorn and graphed our favorite flavor. 

 

 



We made corn kernels dance by dropping them in water mixed with vinegar and baking soda.  

 

 

We sequenced the life cycle of a corn seed.
